Welcome to Vegreville! We are very proud of our community and hope you will enjoy our town as a virtual visitor, tourist, resident, new business person or someone with the intention of making Vegreville their home.
Vegreville is considered by many as one of the most beautiful towns on the prairies, boasting an exceptional “quality of life” for both citizens and visitors. We are committed to the preservation and protection of our natural park areas, our clean and healthy environment and the health and safety of our residents.
Our community boasts many fabulous gardens in the summer, which earned us a Four Blooms award for Communities in Bloom in 2006. Our community takes pride in our modern services, our first class recreational facilities, our all-embracing cultural opportunities and our extensive programs and services for all ages. Located in the heart of rural Alberta, with a population of 5,520 and a trading area exceeding 42,000, our progressive growth, development and diverse economy have contributed to our recognition as a place to call home.
Our self sufficient status enables us to provide regional programs, services and facilities such as, Preventative, emergency and acute health care. Primary, secondary, post secondary education and extended learning programs. Major regional recreation, sport, cultural and entertainment events.

Some major events enjoyed by thousands each year include Father’s Day Show and Shine, Ukrainian Pysanka Festival, Vegreville Agricultural Fair, Annual Threshing Bee, regular community dinners and a weekly Farmer’s Market.
We are a community open for business with a selection of commercial and industrial lots and properties available. The local realtors and developers have a wide selection of residential lots and properties. The Town of Vegreville is a caring community where neighbors support each other and where families grow and prosper in a safe, healthy environment.
